Direct Services - Volunteer
Looking for experience in the field of speech & language but do not know where to start? Choose to be a Direct Services volunteer at All Avenues!
As a volunteer, you will have the opportunity to work directly with clients under the supervision of a speech & language professional, making a real difference in their lives. Whether you are offering support, guidance, or a helping hand, your time will have a lasting impact in providing clients a meaningful life.
This program is rigorous, and we require volunteers to dedicate a minimum of 20 hours over three months, in addition to the time we can offer for direct client interactions. Over the course of the program, you can create meaningful connections while gaining valuable experience while working with a speech & language professional.

Indirect Services - Volunteer
Looking to assist on projects or help behind the scenes in the field of speech & language? Choose to be an Indirect Services volunteer at All Avenues!
As a volunteer, you will have the opportunity to work indirectly with clients such as creating resources, supporting workshops, or supporting our social media team, you can make a real difference in families lives.
This program is for those who are dedicated in making a difference. We ask that our volunteers commit a minimum of 5 hours each week across three months (maximum 15 hours per week). Over the course of the program. You can create meaningful connections while gaining valuable experience.
Student Placement

Are you ready to make an impact while gaining hands on experience in speech therapy? All Avenue’s student placement program is more than just an opportunity, it is a chance to help people find their voice, build confidence, and connect with the world in new ways.
This program is designed to develop your clinical skills! You will develop the confidence, creativity, and adaptability that will set you apart. Through hands on learning, this experience will give you real world experience, invaluable skills, mentorship from speech & language professionals, and a deeper understanding of the power of communication.
Over the course of your 500 practicum hours as a communicative disorders assistant student, you will do more than observe. You will actively support clients in their therapy journey, assist in engaging sessions, and see firsthand how your efforts help them overcome communication challenges. Every interaction, every word, and every breakthrough you witness will shape not only their future but yours as well. Don’t just study speech therapy, be a part of it!
